What the Y271 Actually Does

One strap, four jobs: it stops the drop, keeps the device on you, frees both hands and carries the small things you would otherwise pat your pockets for.

The Y271 is a braided wrist strap. The loop sits around your wrist and the T-patch slides between the phone and its case, so the phone is tethered to you rather than to your pocket. Tighten the alloy slider against the wrist and the strap stops sliding — that is what delivers the anti-slip and anti-fall protection, not the cord alone.

The same loop hangs earphones, keys, a compact camera or a work badge. Because it weighs only about 26 g and the cord is soft polyester rather than stiff webbing, it stays comfortable on the wrist through a whole working day.

The loop goes around your wrist while the T-patch slides between the phone and its case, so it works with most soft and slim cases that have an open charging port. The same strap can hang earphones, keys, a compact camera or a badge. Send us your device and case type and we will confirm the fit.

The alloy slider grips the rope and slides along it, so you can tighten the loop to your wrist in one movement. Tightening it against the wrist is what gives the anti-slip and anti-fall protection — a loose loop is the usual reason a strap lets a phone drop.
