What the Y143 Actually Does

One small steel plate that turns any phone case into a case with a lanyard loop — without glue, tools or a new case.

The Y143 is the connection between a phone and a strap. A 0.4 mm stainless steel plate slides between the phone and the inside of its case: the case holds the plate, the plate holds a reinforced D-ring, and the D-ring takes the clip of a wrist strap, finger ring strap, neck lanyard or crossbody strap. Nothing is glued to the phone and nothing is drilled into the case, so the same tab can be moved to a new phone or a new case in a few seconds — and because the plate is only 0.4 mm thick, it does not lift the case off the edges or run material across the charging port.

Four prints — Smiley Face, Goodluck, Hearts and Beautiful Flower — cover the gift, school and impulse-retail end of the market, while plain black and gold-tone versions suit a quieter look. The plate is 0.4 mm and sits between the phone and the inside of its case, so nothing runs across the charging port and cable charging is never blocked. Wireless charging is the case worth testing: a thin steel plate under a case changes the gap between the phone and the charging pad, and a very thick case can push them too far apart. Send us your case model and we will confirm, or order a sample and test it on your own phone before placing a production order.

Anything that ends in a swivel clip or a split ring: wrist straps, finger ring straps, neck and crossbody lanyards, mini bag straps and camera straps. Buyers also use it on keyrings and earbud cases. If your strap uses a different connector, send a photo of the clip and we will confirm whether the D-ring takes it.

The Y143 is a case accessory rather than a device-specific mount. The tab is thin enough to slip between the phone and a soft, hard or clear case, and it works with most cases as long as the case is not a fully sealed unibody. Yes — that is the usual private-label order. Send a vector file or a Pantone reference and we will produce a free artwork mock-up for approval, print the run, and approve a physical sample before mass production. The four stock prints are there if you would rather test the market before committing to your own artwork.

Yes. Send a drawing, a sketch or a reference part and we will quote the tooling for a custom plate outline, slot position and D-ring size. Custom shapes carry a higher MOQ than the stock outline because of the tooling cost, and we will send the tooling lead time with the quotation.

Matte black, nickel, chrome, gold-tone and rose-gold are all stock. The plating can be salt-spray tested and the report supplied on request, so you can back a durability claim in your marketplace listing rather than just asserting it.

The D-ring is welded closed and anchored through the plate rather than riveted to it, which is what makes a 0.4 mm part usable for a full-size phone. We do not publish a single headline figure because the safe load depends on the case and the strap as much as the tab.
