On a well-made lanyard, hardware is the part people touch and remember. The Y143 Ultra-Thin Stainless Steel Phone Tether Tab is a ready platform for exactly that: the metal components can move from stock design to your own shapes, finishes and engravings.
Hardware is the part people touch
Cord colour is seen; hardware is handled. Every time the user clips, adjusts or fidgets, a finger reads the surface of the metal. That is why custom hardware — a shaped charm, an engraved buckle, a particular finish — carries brand value far beyond its cost share in the bill of materials.
The Y143 uses 304 stainless steel.
Y143 Ultra-Thin Stainless Steel Phone Tether Tab at a glance
The hardware that connects a phone to a strap. The Y143 is a 0.4 mm stainless steel anchor pad: the tab slides between the phone and its case, the D-ring takes any wrist strap, neck lanyard or crossbody strap, and the profile is thin enough that charging still works. Four stock prints — or your own artwork, shape and finish. Y143 ultra-thin phone tether tab: a 0.4 mm stainless steel anchor pad with a D-ring that slides behind a phone case. Custom logo quoted per project.

What can be customised on the Y143
Three levels, in rising order of commitment:
- Finish. Existing hardware restyled in matte, nickel or gold-tone plating — the fastest customisation.
- Shape. A new charm or buckle silhouette in zinc alloy, cut from your drawing or matched to a reference part you send us.
- Detail. Engraved logos, enamel colour fills and two-tone combinations on top of a custom or stock shape.
Tooling for new metal shapes is a per-project quotation: our sales team confirms feasibility, sampling cost and lead time from your drawing before anything is committed.
From drawing to metal sample
The path is short: you send a sketch, a CAD file or a physical part to copy; we confirm material and finish; a metal sample is produced for approval; only then does it join the Y143 production specification. The agreed spec sheet — rope diameter, weave, colour and hardware — is confirmed before every run.
